Summer countdown: 4 SCHOOL DAYS!!

Thank you SO much to Dave Jones and Jen Fehlan-Jones for organizing the Senior Farewell. Attendees enjoyed making memories, playing yard games, engaging in human football, racing on scooters, jumping in bouncy houses, and much more. This event and the many others coordinated by our student councils, staff, and parent organizations are so beneficial for our students and our community, and we appreciate all of the time and hard work you invest in our District.

Kindergarten registration and open enrollment close on Wednesday, May 31! Kindergarten registration packets are available @ 2023 KLSD Kindergarten Registration and at the KES office. Access information concerning open enrollment @ KLSD 2023-24 Open Enrollment Form. Please contact Superintendent Assistant Yvonne Gnagy at 440-355-2424 or at Yvonne.gnagy@keystoneschools.org with questions.

Congratulations to our outstanding JVS/KHS Contest Participants and Winners at the regional, state, and national levels within their respective programs and organizations. Student highlights include Lindsay Fox and Owen Maiden. Lindsay Fox placed first in the State for Lesson Planning, and Owen Maiden placed first in the Culinary Program. As a result of Owen's first place award, he will compete at the national level this summer! Even though the year is wrapping up in a flash, our programs and events are not over yet! Keystone Kabaret will take place tonight and tomorrow at 6pm. Our last Mental Health and Mindfulness meeting is May 22 at 5pm. Our graduation ceremonies for our kindergarteners, fifth graders, and KHS graduates will take place at their respective times: Kindergarten Graduation: May 25 at 9:30am, 5th Grade Graduation: May 25 at 11:30am, and Class of 2023 Graduation: May 26 at 7pm.

For the upcoming 2023-24 school year, all kindergartners, seventh, and twelfth graders are required to receive updated immunizations before school starts next year.  The Lorain County Public Health (LCPH) is holding FREE vaccine appointments for all ages on the first Wednesday of every month. No child will be turned away for inability to pay.  Clinics are held at Herrick Memorial Library in Wellington, Lorain County Public Health in Elyria, and at the Lorain County Free Clinic in Lorain. These vaccines protect patients from common diseases, including shingles, meningitis, measles, whooping cough, and more. Call 440-284-3206 to schedule an appointment or to receive more information.

Have a great weekend Wildcats!
