Bullying Report/Policy

Per adopted board policy (12/17/07), we are required to semi-annually provide you with a written summary of all reported incidents of bullying/harassment/intimidation.  Furthermore, a summary report is to be posted on the district web page.  The attached report serves to meet these requirements.

Harassment, intimidation or bullying are defined as intentional written, verbal, or physical acts that a student has exhibited toward another particular student or group of students more than once and the behavior both:

1. Causes mental or physical harm to the other student or group of students; and
2.  Is sufficiently severe, persistent, or pervasive that it creates an intimidating, threatening or abusive educational environment for the other student.

The graphs below include two reports.  The report is a summary of the number of incidents of harassment, intimidation, or bullying as reported by the building principal or assistant principal.  Reporting categories include: written incidents, verbal incidents, physical incidents, and combined verbal/physical incidents.  Incidents are tallied by building and by category.
