To continue to highlight the new courses at Keystone High School next year, this week’s feature class is KHS Math Teacher Mr. Crabtree’s College Credit Plus (CCP) Calculus class. Keystone is the only high school in the county that Lorain County Community College (LCCC) has allowed to teach CCP Calculus for the 2023-24 school year. The class marks the 5th CCP mathematics course taught on site at KHS; this is the MOST of any school in the county that partners with LCCC!
Mr. Crabtree is also offering an Introduction to Calculus course for students prior to taking the CCP Calculus class. This enables students who need to meet the placement test requirement for CCP to build their calculus skills. In addition, the class will help them attain the needed placement score and give them a strong foundation on which to build their skills in the content area.
Even as our school year descends into its final month, we are still in desperate need of both substitute teachers and paraprofessional substitutes. Paraprofessional substitute licenses can be obtained in less than one week and do not require a Bachelor’s Degree. As a reminder, orders for the KES PTA’s Class of 2023 t-shirts must be placed by this Wednesday, April 26.
