We are currently investigating the safety measures we have in place at our schools. As an additional measure to our policies currently in place, parents will no longer enter the KES office when picking up their student. The process for pick-up is as follows:

  1. Parents will push the button in the vestibule to notify the secretaries of their arrival (there is a six second delay after pushing the button before the secretary can answer).
  2. Parents will show their ID through the door to the secretary. If you do not have an ID, you will not be able to take your student.
  3. Parents will sign their student out in the vestibule.
  4. This process will be the same for any other visitor/volunteer.

Keystone High School obtained a grant from the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission to aid in funding the reconfiguration of the main office, which will change how visitors enter the building. The window that is currently closest to the buzzer will be replaced with a door. Visitors will be buzzed into the main office through this new door and will not have access to the building. To enter the school itself, our secretaries will buzz the visitor in via a new entrance.

We continue to be both vigilant and diligent in evaluating the security measures we have in place at our schools to ensure the safety of our students and staff.

We are excited for the Elementary School’s “Out of this World” dance tonight, beginning at 6pm. Thanks to our KES PTA for organizing this event! The PTA is also selling Class of 2023 t-shirts for our elementary schoolers to be worn on field day. Shirts are $11 each, and order forms are due by April 26. Shirts can be purchased online @ https://keystoneelementary.itemorder.com or by cash or check. View the order form on our website @ https://www.keystonelocalschools.org/about/files/ES/Class%202023%20Shirts.pdf.

If you would like to support students whose families are experiencing financial hardships, you can round-up your purchase or donate an extra $11 to be donated to students who cannot afford the shirt at this time. Lastly, if you purchased a t-shirt last year and no longer use it, you can send it in with your student to be reused.

Kindergarten registration is in progress now through May 31. Kindergarten registration forms and information can be accessed @ https://www.keystonelocalschools.org/about/files/2022-2023%20Documents/K%20Information%20Night%202023.pdf.
