December 16, 2022

Great job to all of our students and their instructors on the amazing holiday concerts they performed throughout the last two weeks. The hard work of both the students and teachers was exemplified at their concerts!

Additionally, we appreciate all of your generosity in contributing to our donation drives throughout this holiday season!

Thanks to all those who came to our Board of Education meeting this past Monday to discuss preliminary ideas for adding a softball and baseball field, stadium turf, fieldhouse, greenhouse, and a performing arts center to our campus. Please note that we are in the earliest stages of plan development, and at this point, we are only discussing the plausibility of these options, including analysis of the funding necessary, most of which will be coming from organizational donations. In terms of the order in which we will proceed with the construction, since funds to complete these projects will come from donations, it will be the decision of the donors to which structure they would like to donate to. Athletic Director Jeff Holzhauer is attaining quotes for these structures; but, please understand this will be a lengthy process, and as such, we do not have a firm timeline for construction.  We will also provide additional and ample opportunities for you to provide your feedback concerning adding these structures to our campus.

As the 2022 school year concludes, Keystone High will be holding Semester Exams this upcoming week Dec 19-21 on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. A detailed explanation of the exam process as well as the exam schedule is on our website @ KHS Exam Schedule.

Lastly, this Monday, December 19 at 7pm in KMS cafeteria, we will hold an Early Education Intervention Night. The purpose of this evening is to connect families of young children with early literacy and numeracy resources to help build the foundation as our pre-k students enter kindergarten. Our presenters include Chelsea Freeman, Executive Director of Lorain County’s Children & Families First Council, Kate Cunningham, Parent Liaison, and Keystone’s Director of Pupil Services Nikki Campbell.

Countdown to Christmas: 9 DAYS!
