KHS students Brooks Thompson, Jamie Yuronich, Lucy Dike, Arie Youngblood, and Jordan Thacker joined high schoolers from Brookside, Avon Lake, and Clearview at SpaceBound to learn about careers in the Information Technology (IT) field and participate in activities that mirrored real-world problems. Dave Miller, the Educational Service Center’s School-Business Liaison, partnered with SpaceBound to offer this immersive experience for our students.
SpaceBound CEO Mary Miller, along with Network Administer Bryan Fox, led students in simulations of real-world problems. Their primary objective was to dismantle a Chromebook to both diagnose and repair problems. Once completed, they returned the Chromebook to its original, working condition, and then completed an online task. As they worked, they were rated on technicality, documentation of process, and teamwork.
