Congratulations to KMS/KHS School Nurse Candi Oliver as she received the Champion for Children award from the Blessing House of Lorain County! Nurse Oliver was nominated by two of our KHS families for her direct medical care of children with special needs.
It may be hard to believe, but Nurse Oliver is serving in her FIRST position as a school nurse! She started training at Lorain County Public Health in January, and we are so lucky she joined our team in February of 2023! Before school nursing, Oliver worked in hospice for numerous years, and then moved to a developmental disability facility, prior to becoming a school nurse.
When asked about her favorite things at Keystone, she replied “Honestly, the thing I love about Keystone is the students. Even though there are daily challenges, it is so rewarding to watch them grow and meet their goals.”
Congratulations again Nurse Candi! Your devotion to our students goes above and beyond expectation! We are lucky to have you!
