Exciting New Programs & Events

Our students and staff have been doing a great job this year, and we are already in our second month of school! We have a variety of upcoming community events I hope you will plan on attending!

Sponsored by Keystone High School’s FCCLA and Youth-4-Youth (Y4Y) organization, our annual Senior Citizens Breakfast will be held on Thursday, Oct 10 from 9am-10:30pm in the KHS Café. Please RSVP with the number attending by this Monday, Oct 7 to Shannon Heffernan, KHS Family and Consumer Science Teacher, at Shannon.heffernan@keystoneschools.org or at 440-355-2400 Ext 2371.

In addition, the FCCLA and Y4Y organizations are excited to hold our first annual Family Fall Fest on Saturday, Oct 19 from 1-4pm. The event will take place behind Keystone High School. At the festival, a pumpkin egg hunt will be held at 1:30, and games and activities will be available for all ages. In addition, at the event, they are sponsoring a Pumpkin-themed baking contest. The only requirement is that the recipe must use pumpkin in some form. There are two divisions for the contest: Division 1 for ages 17 & under and Division for ages 18 & up. First, second, and third place will be awarded in both divisions. There is a $3 entry fee payable on the day of competition (10/19/19). Please contact Shannon Heffernan or Kari DoveDeal at 440-355-2400 with questions.

We are also excited to announce that our first Wednesday Wildcat Reader video is on KES' YouTube channel. In the video, KES Principal Mrs. Neville reads her favorite children’s book The Rainbow Fish, by Marcus Pfister. You can find our video on our website as well as our YouTube channel. Reading videos will be published every Wednesday and feature readers from our administration as well as KES staff.

Thanks to our volleyball team for holding their annual Volley for the Cure fundraiser this past Tuesday. All funds raised from this event will be donated to the local Susan G. Komen® for the Cure Foundation.
