Per the Lorain County Health Department, the procedures concerning students and staff testing positive for COVID are as follows:
1. Students testing positive for COVID are to stay home for 5 days. Day 0 is the first day with symptoms or the day the test was taken.
2. If students are asymptomatic before day 5, they may return to school with a mask.
3. Students may return on day 6 as long as symptoms are improving or are asymptomatic.
4. After day 5, if symptoms do not improve or if a fever is still present, they must remain at home until symptoms improve.
There are no longer any requirements regarding testing or the collection and/or reporting of positive COVID cases.
