Substitute Teachers Desperately Needed!

Substitute Teachers Desperately Needed!

We are in desperate need of both permanent and general substitute teachers! Permanent substitutes are guaranteed work five days a week at $120 a day. We understand that you may have weekly or bi-weekly commitments, and we can accommodate your schedule accordingly.  General substitutes receive notifications as the need arises, which include both the time and the school building.

We are also in desperate need of paraprofessional substitute teachers.  Paraprofessional substitutes do not need a Bachelor’s degree; the requirements are a high school diploma and paraprofessional/monitor’s license. This license can be obtained in less than one week! Paraprofessionals will also often have a 1:1 student/teacher ratio.

If you are interested in becoming a paraprofessional substitute, contact Superintendent’s Assistant Yvonne Gnagy at 440-355-2424 or at Yvonne.gnagy@keystoneschools.org for more information.

The hours for the workday are provided below.

·         Keystone Elementary 8:15-3:45

·         Keystone Middle 7:25-2:55

·         Keystone High 7:10-2:40

Qualifications for substitute teachers, mandated by the State, include a Bachelor’s Degree, and BCI/FBI background check. Contact Pam Gamble at the Education Service Center (ESC) at 440-324-5777 ext. 1113 to apply for substitute teaching positions.
