We are so proud of our young authors!
Nine of our talented 5th grade KES students have dedicated time, creativity, and hard work to writing and illustrating their own original stories. Their imagination and effort truly brought their ideas to life! These outstanding students will represent KES at the county level for the prestigious Top Author and Illustrator Awards—what an amazing achievement!
We are especially excited to share that two of our students have been selected to represent our school at the district level, competing for Top Author (Lila Simonson) and Top Illustrator (Harper Wilson). One winner from each grade level will be chosen across participating districts.
The Young Authors Conference will take place on May 12 at the Elyria Performing Arts Center—we can’t wait to celebrate their incredible accomplishments!
The celebration doesn’t stop there! Students will also share their work with family and friends during a special evening showcase at the ESC, highlighting all participating young authors and illustrators on May 12th from 5:30 - 7:00pm.
We couldn’t be more proud of these talented students—way to represent KES!
