Tonight, our Elementary School students will enjoy their annual Someone Special dance. This provides a great opportunity for students to spend quality time with the special individuals in their lives. Thanks to the KES PTA for making this wonderful, yearly event so much fun for our students and their guests.

Congratulations to KMS Principal Toni Filut and KHS Principal James Kohler for being recognized by the Making Middle Grades Work (MMGW) and High Schools that Work (HSTW) Organization. This organization focuses on building knowledge based on action research, developing community partnerships, raising awareness, and building support for school districts. Toni and James will be recognized at the annual MMGW/HSTW End-of-Year Best Practice Showcase awards ceremony. Congratulations to both principals on this outstanding achievement!

Also, very deserving of recognition are our three football players who committed to continuing their athletic careers in their post-secondary studies. Jacob Shackelford and Gavin Norris signed with Ashland University, and Dylan Naylor signed a letter of commitment to play at Mount Union. Congratulations Jacob, Gavin, and Dylan on this outstanding achievement!

In upcoming events, KES will hold Family Literacy Night on Wednesday, Feb 26 from 6-7:30pm. At the event, attendees will play reading games and engage in fun literacy activities. All children will receive 1 FREE BOOK! The night is free and is open to all KES students and their families.

Have a great weekend Keystone!
