The Lorain County Public Health Department updated their guidance for students in quarantine, effective 09/29/2021.
If a student is in quarantine,
● They may remain in the normal in-classroom setting while wearing a mask during their quarantine period as long as they remain asymptomatic.
● Outside of the classroom, normal quarantine rules and procedures apply.
● If symptoms begin, students should stay home and isolate for 10 days from the start of symptoms.
Lorain County Health Commissioner Dave Covell informed us that the primary reason for this change is to allow students to stay in class. The rules pertaining to quarantining outside the classroom have NOT changed.
