Educator of the Year

Educator of the Year

Congratulations to Keystone High School Math Teacher Tracy Clarico on being named the District’s Educator of the Year! Of receiving this honor, Tracy states, “I have been blessed to teach at my alma mater for 29 years! Starting as an elementary teacher, I have taught every grade K-12. I love teaching algebra the most because I get to plant seeds of confidence in students, nurture them throughout the year, and witness the light bulb moments.”

Tracy’s nominators explain her well-deserved recognition. “Tracy Clarico is genuine and kind; she embraces the whole child, balancing her subject area and encouraging students to treat others with kindness and acceptance. She recognizes every student, highlighting their successes, birthdays, and other important events. She often surprises students by sending them cards, encouraging them during difficult situations, and recognizing their hard work, showing them they are special and unique."

Tracy foregoes her lunch and planning periods to help students and comes in early and stays late to provide tutoring sessions.  Her ability to look inward and identify the best way to teach her students is truly extraordinary. Tracy has such a love for Keystone, its students, and its families; it is evident every single day. She exemplifies all of the qualities of a great teacher: patient, kind, compassionate, talented, gracious, and devoted.

Congratulations Tracy on this outstanding accomplishment!
