On a yearly basis, support and teaching staff are recognized for their contributions to our District and for embodying the vision and mission we have for Keystone Local Schools. Congratulations to Marlene Shaffer of our High School’s Cleaning Staff as she was named our Support Staff Member of the Year, and Don Griswold, KHS Social Studies teacher, who earned our Educator of the Year award. Congratulations to you both as these awards highlight and recognize the many ways you contribute to the success of Keystone Local Schools.

We also highlight our students throughout the year who exemplify the exceptional qualities highlighted in our P.R.I.D.E program. Students are recognized by earning spirit tickets, attending special field trips, purchasing items from the joy cart with their tickets, earning lunch with the principals, and more. Congratulations to these students as well. We are proud of you and recognize the effort you put in to your studies as well as the positive behaviors you embody every day.

Congratulations as well to our teachers and support staff who took part in planning the outstanding STEM activities at both KES and KMS. These activities and programs were highlighted in the Morning Journal. The article is accessible @ Keystone Elementary School Students Build STEM Creations.

In upcoming events, students in grades K-7 are holding a Young Writers Open House on Monday, May 13 from 6-7:30pm in the KES/KMS Cafeteria. Attendees will enjoy reading a selection of original student works, attending a readers' theater, watching play presentations, engaging in craft activities, and taking advantage of writing opportunities for attendees of all ages. In addition, two students per grade level (3rd-6th) will be recognized for one of the following awards: Best Author and Best Illustrator.

Lastly, our open enrollment period is in progress now through Friday, May 31, 2019. More information, including the necessary paperwork, can be accessed @ Keystone Open Enrollment Form 2019-20
