April 25, 2017

The last day to purchase After Prom tickets is on Thursday, April 27.  PTA  will be here on Thursday during lunch to hand out tickets.


Any student interested in auditioning for next year's KHS Symphonic Choir needs to sign up for an audition time slot with Mrs. Pearce. Auditions will be held after school in the KHS music room on Wednesday, May 3rd and Thursday, May 4th. The schedule is posted outside of the music room. Please fill out a packet and bring it with you to your audition.


Attention 9th through 11th graders interested in computer programming: There will be a week long High School Coding Camp designed to engage students in hands-on, interactive coding activities.  This camp will allow students to learn the concepts of computer programming and encourages them to think about complex ideas and concepts rationally and logically.  Each week the camp is held at a different higher education institution.  Some of the colleges involved are:  The University of Akron. Cuyahoga Community College-Western Campus, Cleveland State University, Baldwin Wallace University, Kent State University, and Lorain County Community College.  See Mrs. Branzel for more details and info on how to sign up. HURRY!!   Deadline for registration is Sunday, April 30.


There will be an informational meeting on April 25 at 6:00 pm in the study hall room for students and their parents who are attending the Washington DC trip. Nowak travel will be here to answer any last minute details about the trip. See Mr Griswold or Mr. Schuster to receive your permission packet if you cannot attend.


SPECIAL OLYMPICS is coming on May 12, 2017! Peer buddy applications will be available in the office or in Room 119. If you would like to join and help out a Keystone Wildcat Athlete at Special Olympics then please grab an application and turn it into Room 119 ASAP! Applications will need to be in by April 26th - No exceptions!


Attn. Girls: There will be a meeting this Thursday, April 27 with Coach Giesel in room 124 for all girls interested in playing high school soccer for the next 2017-2018 school year.


Help us to support the Keystone - LaGrange Relay for Life coming to the Keystone Campus on May 19th! Youth 4 Youth will be selling paper cupcakes at the school store and during lunch periods to raise money for the relay. Cupcakes are only $1 and all proceeds will go to American Cancer Association. The class that purchases the most cupcakes will be awarded SPIRIT POINTS! If you have any questions please see Mrs. Robinson or Mrs. Deal!


Safety Town is June 19-23rd and Volunteer applications must be turned into either Officer Turner or Camryn Smith no later than by April 28.  LaGrange Safety Town Volunteer applications are available in the office or see Camryn Smith.

With only 40 points separating the sophomores, juniors, and seniors.  The senior class is holding a 15-point lead over the sophomores.  The final event of the season, the annual student council Easter egg hunt will take place immediately after school TODAY. Meet in the GYM at 2:30 with a bag to capture your share of the 1700 Easter eggs containing candy, prizes, and over 200 spirit tickets up for grabs. See you there and Hop to it.

On Tuesday, KHS will be hosting some middle school music students for an honors choir and band rehearsal. During lunch periods, KHS students should refrain from using the restrooms in the athletic/music wing, as we would like to keep this hallway clear and open for our guests to use.
