KHS Student Is National Merit Scholar

Keystone High School senior Sarah Speck has earned the title of National Merit Scholar. This distinction places Sarah in a group of students representing less than one percent of U.S. high school graduating seniors or roughly 15,000 of the 1.5 million entrants to the program.
In addition to earning the title of National Merit Scholar, Sarah has received many other scholarships and distinctions. She earned awards from numerous organizations, including Phi Beta Kappa, Voice of Democracy, Franklin B. Walter, Daughters of the American Revolution, VFW, and Margaret Maurer Memorial.
At Keystone, Sarah not only succeeds inside the classroom but outside of the classroom as well. Sarah is involved in numerous extracurricular organizations and holds various leadership positions: National Honor Society Vice President, Girl Scout member, French Club President, 4-H member, Academic Challenge Captain, Model United Nations member, and Lorain County Community Foundation Youth Fund Advisory Committee member. Following graduation, Sarah will study neuroscience at Washington University in St. Louis followed by medical school. Good luck Sarah and congratulations on your many accomplishments!
