Bullying Report/Policy

Per adopted board policy (12/17/07), we are required to semi-annually provide you with a written summary of all reported incidents of bullying/harassment/intimidation.  Furthermore, a summary report is to be posted on the district web page.  The attached report serves to meet these requirements.

Harassment, intimidation or bullying are defined as intentional written, verbal, or physical acts that a student has exhibited toward another particular student or group of students more than once and the behavior both:

1. Causes mental or physical harm to the other student or group of students; and
2.  Is sufficiently severe, persistent, or pervasive that it creates an intimidating, threatening or abusive educational environment for the other student.

In accordance with these laws of the State of Ohio, it is reported that the administrators of Keystone Local Schools dealt with the following number of incidences of bullying for the first  semester of the 2014-2015 school year:

Keystone Elementary School: 0
Keystone Middle School: 18
Keystone High School: 5

In accordance with these laws of the State of Ohio, it is reported that the administrators of Keystone Local Schools dealt with the following number of incidences of bullying for the second semester of the 2014-2015 school year:

Keystone Elementary School: 0
Keystone Middle School: 31
Keystone High School: 8
